More Than a Diploma: The Incredible Transformation of Our 8th Graders

We celebrated the Class of 2026 on June 6, when 28 young men transitioned years of hard work, perseverance, and opportunity, into a powerful new chapter.

Every graduate was accepted to a Catholic, independent, or private high school, including Phillips Exeter Academy, Georgetown Preparatory School, Gonzaga College High School, Sidwell Friends, St. John’s College High School, DeMatha Catholic High School, The Nora School, Archbishop Carroll High School, and Don Bosco Cristo Rey High School.

Among this year's graduates, valedictorian Linus N. exemplifies that journey. He arrived at San Miguel like every student full of potential and eagerness to learn — and left having earned the St. John Baptist de La Salle Award, our highest honor for a graduate. This fall, Linus heads to Phillips Exeter Academy, carrying with him the confidence and skills built over years at San Miguel.

Graduation was a reminder that this is the heart of the San Miguel Journey: watching young men grow into confident leaders ready for whats next. It is the result of a community coming together and believing in this mission and helping make it possible.
