We're proud to share that our President, David Palank, was recently featured on AscendED Consulting podcast in a conversation about student accountability and school culture.

At San Miguel, we believe holding students accountable is one of the strongest ways we show them we believe in them. During the conversation, David spoke about how San Miguel staff hold both high expectations and high support — not one without the other.

What does this look like?

- Students are explicitly taught what is expected of them

- Adults build strong, trusting relationships with them

- Mistakes come with consequences, but also a path forward

- Students are expected to take ownership and try again
