San Miguel Alum Returns For 2022 Career Day

On October 21 San Miguel students learned from professionals in a variety of fields, including one very special guest: Edgar Caiza, CPA, San Miguel Class of 2006.

Following his time at San Miguel, Caiza attended Gonzaga College High School. He went on to study accounting at Mount St. Mary’s University, and now works as an audit manager at CohnReznick LLP.

Caiza’s path piqued the interest of several students. One seventh grade student shared, “My favorite speaker was Mr. Caiza. He went to San Miguel and he was just really relatable.” Another noted that the way Caiza spoke made him interested in accounting.

Other fields represented included energy providers, border patrol, education, and the law. Several attorneys spoke, spanning varied organizations including the Federal Trade Commission, The Hispanic Bar Association, the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice, and more.
