93 Reasons to Celebrate: A Back-to-School Message from President Palank

Dear San Miguel Community,

This week marked the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year, and with it, a milestone in the history of San Miguel—we proudly welcomed 93 students, returning to our historic enrollment peak!

We start as early as we do because we understand the profound work ahead: 100% of our students are first-generation or sons of immigrants, and 90% speak English as a second language. This record enrollment reflects not only the growing demand for our mission but the undeniable need for the support and opportunities we provide.

Among our new sixth graders, we’re thrilled to welcome seven siblings of current students and alumni, further strengthening our San Miguel brotherhood. This same week, we held our 2nd Annual San Miguel Graduate Reception, where I had the honor of shaking hands with dozens of graduates, from the class of 2009 to the class of 2025. The joy I felt from understanding that I have had the honor of serving all of these young men as teacher, principal, or president was indescribable.

Our 2nd Annual San Miguel Graduate Reception gathered alumni from the class of 2009 to the class of 2025.

None of this would be possible without your support. Come see the difference you're making—visit our campus, meet our Miguel Men, and witness our mission in action.

Together, we are shaping the future of these young men, their families and ultimately, the future of our community. Thank you for believing in and investing in our mission. Let’s keep transforming lives through education.

Live Jesus in Our Hearts! Forever!
