San Miguel School Announces Another Historic Honor Roll Roster

San Miguel students broke the school record set earlier this year for the proportion of students who earned a place on the Honor Roll. In the second quarter of the 2023-2024 school year at San Miguel, 81 percent of students achieved Honor Roll status, exceeding the last record set in the fall of 73 percent of students.

Twenty-five percent of the student body received Second Honors, requiring a grade point average (GPA) between 3.0 and 3.49.  Fifty-six percent of students claimed First Honors; these students’ maintained GPAs of 3.5 or greater.  Among the First Honors students, 23 percent maintained a 4.0 GPA for the quarter.

Principal David Palank also recognized students who had exceeded their personal goals for independent reading. “After the first half of the year, I wanted to see who was not only meeting their goal, but exceeding it…these students went above and beyond.”

The school community gathered to celebrate the honorees, and the ceremony was also broadcast live via Facebook
