Your Help is Needed
What progress has the San Miguel School
made in achieving its goals?
San Miguel has achieved remarkable success.
Even in its first year of operation, students’ standardized test scores rose dramatically. Two years later, the majority of students in the first graduating class were admitted to competitive, college preparatory Catholic high schools.
What is the economic status of San Miguel students?
The income of San Miguel families is well below the median for families in the District of Columbia. Although the families are required to pay some portion of their children’s tuition, the greater portion of tuition is subsidized by donors and foundations.
Does tuition paid by families cover the cost
of education?
No. Tuition paid by families covers less than
five percent of the cost of education.
